Third Hemispheric Conference on Tourism, Inland Ports and Waterways, Ship Services and Navigation Safety

Organized by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Uruguay National Port Administration (ANP), this hemispheric event will provide an international platform to promote public-private dialogue on efficient logistics through rivers, waterways and inland ports. Industry experts and decision makers will share successful practices on river transport, emphasizing the economic benefits of an integrated and sustainable port system.

Topics include:

  • Waterways as facilitators of inter-regional trade;
  • Maritime corridors: Gateways to the global economy;
  • Inland ports for greater competitiveness;
  • Navigation control.

Additionally, National Port Authorities will identify the integral elements to increase regional connectivity and boost competitiveness.
