2017 Port Security Workshop Schedule

The Port Security Management Capacity Building Program, organized by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) provides participants with effective management techniques to improve port security operations.

ISPS Code Implementation Seminar

On May 19-22, 2015, in Miami, Florida, the Organization of American States (OAS) Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) organized an ISPS Code Implementation Seminar for OAS Front Line Officers. Twenty-eight port facility security officers from 12 OAS Member States attended this four-days training. This training covered Port Facility Security Plans, Access Control, Monitoring, and Cargo Handling. OAS CIP and the Port Safety and Security TAG look forward to future opportunities to collaborate with the United States Coast Guard on additional training seminars.
