Port Resilience Online Course

On behalf of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS), in collaboration with the Peru National Port Authority (APN) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG), I am pleased to announce the upcoming Online Course Port Security Continuity: Sustaining Operations during Crises, to be held June 22 – July 17, on the APN Virtual Campus.
This course will provide participants with actionable strategies that promote sustained security operations in ports during prolonged operational pauses. The interactive online sessions will address key elements of viable continuity capabilities, with special emphasis on planning, response, and resilience.
Course objectives include:
- Identify elements of viable port security continuity capabilities.
- Analyze scenarios and good practices that strengthen resilience.
- Formulate strategic actions that promote efficient port security operations during operational interruptions and/or crises.
