3rd Hemispheric Conference on Port Security: Boosting Efficiency through Secure Operations

Organized by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) of the Organization of the American States (OAS), in collaboration with the University of Miami Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER), with financial support from the United States Department of State, and institutional support from the OAS Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE), this conference provides an international platform to address key aspects of port security in the Americas at the highest governmental and corporate levels.
Decision-makers from public and private entities will share successful practices on secure port operations and discuss strategic actions that promote the implementation of efficient risk mitigation practices in line with competitive port operations, technology, and infrastructure. During Roundtables and Table Top Exercises, National Port Authority and industry leaders will identify a series of recommendations for tackling the security and logistical challenges of the region’s port and maritime sectors.
