Commander Enrique Ochoa

Enrique Armando Ochoa Parra belongs to the Mexican Secretariat of the Navy and has served in different units and establishments of the Mexican Navy in both operational and administrative functions.

He is a graduate of the Heroic Naval Military School with a degree in Naval Science Engineering. At the Centro de Estudios Superiores Navales he studied the Specialties in Weapons Systems, Naval Command, General Staff; and the Master's Degree in Naval Administration. He has also completed courses in Maritime and Port Security Officer, Naval Control, Cooperation and Guidance for Maritime Traffic, Auditor Training, Risk Assessment and Management, Training for Mediators and Negotiators, International Port Interdiction Training, Seminar on Maritime Operational Law and Border Security, Executive Seminar on Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Control of Trade in Strategic Goods (dual-use materials, products and technologies).

He has served in the Traffic Control and Maritime Protection and Port Protection Sections of the Naval Port Protection Units, this being his last assignment.

He is currently a member of the Inter-American Committee on Ports as an Advisor to the Technical Advisory Committee on Port Protection and Security of the Organization of American States (OAS).
