Pablo Genta Buzzetti
First Vice Chair of the Executive Board of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CECIP)
President - National Ports Administration (ANP) of Uruguay
It is an honor to address you to express that, having been appointed as President of the National Ports Administration for the 2025–2030 term, I will assume the responsibility entrusted to me by the Eastern Republic of Uruguay as First Vice Chair of the Executive Board of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CECIP).
Our country holds a strategic vision regarding economic and productive development, in which one of the keys to success is seeking the complementarity of transport and logistics infrastructure and services across the region.
Progressing toward the development of a regional port system with high-quality, sustainable, safe, and efficient services becomes a priority in order to enhance the competitiveness of both national and regional production, as well as intraregional trade and trade with the rest of the world.
We are living in times of marked uncertainty regarding how international trade will evolve. Beyond the warnings and concerns this may bring, the only certainty is the need to continue striving for excellence in logistics platforms and services, where regional ports play an essential and relevant role.
It is with this spirit that we enthusiastically assume the continuation of the First Vice Chair entrusted to our country for the 2023–2026 term, with commitment and responsibility, which we will dedicate to this Board whenever required.
I take this opportunity to extend my greetings to the President, with the assurances of my highest consideration.
