Easy Guide for ISPS Code

The international code for ship and port facility protection, approved and certified by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), has now played a fundamental role in the prevention and control of terrorist acts that could be carried out in the future (taking 9/11 as an example). The content of the ISPS Code is very broad, clearly establishing international cooperation from all governments for an effective application of these rules that would come to guarantee maritime protection, taking preventive measures against any adverse action against merchant ships arriving at all the ports of the world.
