8th Regional Port Security Management Workshop

Date/Modality

May 13 - 15, 2025 | In person: Royal St. Kitts Hotel, Saint Kitts and Nevis

Organized by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) and hosted by the Saint Christopher Air and Seaports Authority (SCASPA), the workshop provided participants from across the Caribbean region (CARICOM) with effective and collaborative management techniques to address security concerns affecting ports. The workshop highlighted successful practices, reinforced through participant discussions, a table-top exercise (TTX), and a port site-visit, to provide an interactive forum for regional dialog and knowledge exchange.

The workshop was facilitated by lead instructor Mr. Troy Vest, Captain (Retired United States Coast Guard), Incident Commander at HudsonAnalytix, a CIP Associate Member, with subject matter experts’ presentations from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and HudsonAnalytix - Cyber. In addition, guest speakers from across the Caribbean port sector shared successful practices during several successful practice sessions.
