Mónica Blanco, Projects Manager

Mónica Blanco is a Consultant at the CIP Secretariat, where she manages the S/CIP platforms and communication channels, and assists in the organization of hemispheric conferences, webinars, and meetings with an emphasis on Competitiveness and Logistics, Security and Sustainable Port Management. She also provides support in the organizational preparations for the Maritime Award of the Americas and the AAPA - CIP Port Industry Award of Excellence.

Mónica began working at the OAS in 2020 as an intern for the S/CIP at the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) and in 2022 she joined the S/CIP as a consultant. Previously, she gained experience in marketing and communication as a Communications Leader at the Tecnológico de Monterrey campus Tampico. She also did an internship at the Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance at the United Nations, where she gained experience in internal and external communications and event organization on mental health, women's empowerment and environment.

Mónica has a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the Tecnológico de Monterrey campus Tampico where she focused mainly on the port and logistics sector. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of French.
