Capacity Building
Strengthening the institutional capacities of the CIP’s national port authorities through high-quality human resource training is one of the four main objectives of the CIP. This priority reflects the recognition that well-prepared port personel are fundamental to advancing efficient port management, driving innovation, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the port-maritime sector in the Americas.
In order to achieve competitive, secure, sustainable, and inclusive ports, the CIP promotes capacity building through its Scholarship and Training Program. This program seeks to strengthen human resources by offering diverse opportunities such as specialized courses, technical workshops, webinars and international conferences and seminars tailored to the evolving needs of port authorities.
In collaboration with strategic partners from both the public and private sectors, the program provides access to cutting-edge knowledge, practical tools, and global best practices. By fostering continuous professional development, the CIP supports regional integration, competitiveness, and the creation of a more resilient and innovative port community.
