Institutional and Operation Assessment of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Port Authority (SVGPA)

Under the aegis of the agreement between the Organization of American States’ General Secretariat (GS/OAS) and the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP), through funds from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE), conducted a comprehensive institutional and operational assessment of the SVG Port Authority (SVGPA).

The assessment outlined the current operational and institutional capacities of SVGPA and formulated comprehensive and actionable recommendations for maximizing efficiencies, including security, operations, health and safety, as well as financial procedures, to be implemented by the Government of SVG in its Port Modernization Project 2020 – 2024.
