Message from the Chief: 

Leading the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee for Ports (S/CIP) and its team of accomplished professionals has been a privilege. In the last eight years, the activities and benefits offered by the S/CIP have grown exponentially thanks to the unwavering support of its Member Countries and, significantly, to the work of the “CIP Dream Team”. It is only through the dedication and commitment of the Dream Team, their belief in that the work we do makes a difference in the port sector of our countries that we can proudly offer hundreds of scholarships a year along with at least three or four hemispheric conferences on key port matters. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have organized over 30 distance learning courses and 20 webinars. It is also vital to acknowledge the support given to the S/CIP by its Associate Members who not only share practices and knowledge with our Port Authorities, but have become an integral part of the CIP community.
